After three years with out having an MX5 out of the last twenty or so I have just bought a 2006 silver NC folding hardtop with 85,000 klms.Pick it up next week and really looking forward to doing a few small improvements.

Thanks for the responses, yes it will be mildly moded,Tand C exhaust, thinking about a split system with small mufflers and yes 93 Clubman the 4.1 conversion if I can find one.Only has 85,000klm so will probably leave suspension alone at the moment,Greg would love to catch up sometime!

It is now gone .replaced with a mint 2008 NC with 73000 klms full service history.Just fitted new Michelin PS 4's and an alloy IR Motorsport radiator catch tank and now my knee is giving me a rotten time so need a replacement. Undecided if I leave it in the shed or start again in about the 6 months that it will take to get the op and do rehab.

What's the reason for the switch? New one just a nicer car for the money?

Leave it in the shed! Buying and selling is way more hassle ;-)

Paulf , yes just a really lovely car, body and interior just about perfect, lower klms, 2 years younger and I was able to swap with a few $$$ in the pocket ,better deal. The other one was a great car too, could easily have kept it and I think I am pretty hard to please!!
New one will have a Town and Country exhaust as well at some stage , the other one had a ripper with twin rear mufflers and a Helmhotz pipe, probably the best sounding NC I have ever heard.
American, yes think I will!
