Hi all,
There was a SP that just sold at auction:
https://www.pickles.com.au/damaged-salvage/item/-/details/CP-02-02--Mazda--MX-5--Convertible/970261084Did anyone catch the for sale price or the build number? I logged in too late.
Looked repairable, and was WOVR N/A, so there was an option to bring her back to her former glory.
Hope it went to a good home, and gets fixed and dríven once again....

Nice find. Must have front rail damage to get written off (a pain to fix as it may involve taking the engine out).

SO that would be 131/132/133 or?? now , I am guessing. More/better meds required! Good luck with new toy mate.

Both air bags had popped.
It went for 6500 or 6750, didn't see right at the end. Plus all the fees etc

Price sounds about right. Good couple of grand in parts & repairs, couple of grand in paint, then what you have is a well-used ex-smashed up SP, worth about what you ended up spending on it.
Or just re-birth it into another shell and pretend it's the same car (it's not as the VIN is different).
Or just chuck some parts at it, give it a tweak and try to sell it not fixed properly to some sucker. It certainly needs more than a tweak as if it was that easy the insurance coy would have done it themselves/not written it off.

Good to hear.
I want to see all the good gear swapped into an NA.
