Yea I meant to say it’s not cool as well
Didn’t mean to be so factual.
A friend of mine disturbed a thief looking for keys. In his house late in the night in a high end suburb of Sydney. He took him on
The fight ended up outside and the thieves mates turn up in a black Merc. Gun was drawn and the words to the effect of. Let him go or you’re a dead man.
My mate came to his senses. Let the guy go.
They didn’t take his car but he had a screwdriver blade on his shoulders.
For a car that’s insured. Was that worth it?
The police then told him about gangs who get an order for a number of cars. They have to have keys so they cAn be packed up and shipped off overseas.
Thank your lucky stars you were not around when this happens and don’t be like my mate who saved the insurance some money.
If some meth head took your car for a joy ride. Would you really want it back?
And even if some local panel beater shop took it for spare parts .....mehhhh
It’s a violation. an annoying event having a car stolen. I just hope you are appropriately insured & get your money back.

It'll turn up. Not worth sending an ND overseas (a Merc yes).

I think I have seen that car around but have no idea where or when. It is,now, programmed in and I will remember if I do see it. Depending who took it and why, you may be better off if it's not found.

Hi.
This subject is one we read about time and time again. How many stories are told about people leaving car keys which are easy to find in their homes. A lot of the vehicle theft is break in and key theft people read and hear the stories but never learn. They might as well leave the keys in the car. May be people reading this will think about the security of car keys and just maybe the light will go on.

I'm sort of thankful that my home wasn't trashed by whoever looking for the key in a hidden place. My kids will be upset enough without the added trauma of wrecked home.
They also took a watch and a few beers out of my fridge (and left the door open). So I assume the keys were found early on. Police think so as well.
Still feels strange not seeing the car in the garage.

Sorry to hear about this.
Break & Enters are commonplace everywhere and are virtually impossible to prevent without mega-expensive security systems.
The average house is easy to break into. Last two break-ins I heard about this year, the occupants were asleep while the crims were stealing stuff.
I would rather be out. They can take what they like - it's all insured.
Best and cheapest security system is a big dog that doesn't like intruders.

What would you make of that ? - that it's a joyrider who is too stupid to realise the rego and description is on all the Highway Patrol computers?
Sounds like a car-chase in the making.

Wowzer. Looks like Bruce was right. ND is just not precious enough
unless they've changed Number plated & they havent been picked up by plate recognition. but by Bridge toll.
*edit.....no scrap that......they have also got plate recognition.
wait until he/she starts parking in parking stations.
