Has anyone retro fitted an earlier model hardtop from an na/nb to a Mazda Mx5 nc and if so, what did you have to do to make it work ????

My understanding is NA/NB HT & NC HT are different enough that interchangeability isn't feasible.

I reckon an airsaw, big self tappers, miles of duct tape and a big tube of sikaflex would make it work!

Have you tried Automotive Plus (a forum sponsor)? They import hardtops and various other bits from the motherland and may either have one in stock or be able source one.
The NC hardtops are rare, but they are out there. Only problem is many people aren't willing to pay what they cost, and because there aren't too many of them the sellers don't feel the need to drop their price. I used to think they were silly expensive, but the cost of NA/NB hardtops are going through the roof and will soon cost as much as the NC's even though they're comparatively plentiful.
