Where do I get some of these little suckers from?
(They hold all that black plastic on inside the front wheel arches.)
Have half a dozen that are broken.
Are they a "universal" item that are the same across all makes or are they specific to particular brands?
I'm kinda hoping I can just walk into Supacheap/Autobarn/Repco and buy a dozen this am.

Go to a panel shop. They stock hundreds of all kinds.

I have had no luck, ever, sourcing Mazda clips/fasteners except from Mazda.

As above, they're fairly generic.

Even if they dont have the exact ones, they can give you an equivalent that will work just as well (or better)


Just bring one of the old ones with you and you/they can match up the sizes.



At supercheap and similar shops they're usually made by Champion, and found on a wire rack that has a sign "panel pack" above it.

As above I found some at Supercheap last year though not exactly the same but did the job.

Yes, close, but not the same and they never fit or work as a proper replacement on anything I own. I've found they have a different bore size or are too long/short etc. I've wasted enough time and money at SCA, Autobarn etc, now and just get them from the dealer - plus a few spares to keep for the future. They cost more but fit and work perfectly.

Every supercheap auto style clip I’ve used that’s been “close enough” is usually missing a few months later.
Either slightly too long or short to fit properly.

Agree with JBT and Roadrunner, most others "kinda" fit but fall out easily and aren't very re-usable (after unscrewing them a second time, they're stuffed).

If anyone wants to set up a Group Buy for OEM ones, please let me know and I'll order 20 of them for my own stock.

If my 3D printer handled nylon filament I'd try making them (PLA and ABS are too brittle),

I could see that the "Champion" brand Supacheap ones have a thread whilst the OE do not.
The ones I need are the "6mm hole" ones which sell for $7. for a pack of 4.
I might buy a pack from Supacheap PLUS a couple from the local Mazda Dealer and see which fit the best.
The plastic inside the guards is not a good fitting arrangement from new so hardly surprising some of the clips let go.

Not as good as OEM but there's these kits come in handy.
