Experiences with dolly trailers?

It's time I had a trailer but have nowhere to store a full one.

So wondering about a dolly trailer such as those used to tow small runabouts behind motorhomes.

Can anyone share their experiences, good or bad please?

Not quite the answer to your question, but I have a single axle 'tilta' which fits in the shed with the car on it. It's a bit of a pain if you want to unload and drive between events, but otherwise, it fits where the Mx5 would park anyway and solves the storage issue.

Hey Dave, since you ask so nicely:),
I used what's referred to as a 'dolly trailer' in the US for years towing behind a m'home, (and a 5th wheel as well), and found them extremely convenient. Unfortunately, my obversation here in Aus is that they are mostly overvalued, underappreciated by the licencing bodies for what they are, and therefore fodder for the revenue raisers!:(IMO you will, as RB comments above, get much more for your hard earned $$$ with a decent tilt trailer that occupies not too much more space, and they seem much easier to come by:)
Cheers,

Thanks for replies so far.

Unfortunately I can't fit a tilt trailer in the shed, much as I'd like to, and parking one at the front of the house is too exposed.

I had a mate whom used to go to all his rally events using a dolly style trailer. Seems to work fine. Saves weight on the tow vehicle.
