MX5+ roll bar

1. I have '89 NA..Looked at MX5+ rollbar off a NB..
So..A, will it fit on NA..Looks like it will. (Had a trial fit.)
B, will my hard roof fit on top of rollbar?
Looked at the mounting..I realise the plastic trim will come off. Can the mounts for hardtop stay there??
