Foam seal strips

I'm looking to seal the gap at the top of the radiator - just wondering where I can get the right type of adhesive foam strip for the job.

Will any type do or do I need something that is more heat resistant?

This stuff and a Bunnings sanga while your there :D
https://www.bunnings.com.au/weatherseal ... 5_p4114647

I've had this in for over a year now and it hasn't melted or warped etc.
I also used it down the sides of the radiator too to completely seal up against the side. Seems to be the perfect size for just a bit of squish without being squashed.

If you can't get them from the usual motorparts superstores [aka Supercheap Auto, Auto 1 etc.], try Clark Rubber. Clark Rubber has various types, with some that can tolerate higher temperatures.

Good old Clarks- name only but the business that made its name on rubber and associated products and of course the above ground pool which many of us took advantage of. The business started more than 50 years ago. At least you have a chance to get advice and a range of products from Clarks - Bunnings have just throttled the smaller businesses .

bit late sorry mate but i have done what you are looking to do, i got mine from a tyrepower that stocks a few otherbits and pieces.
while there get enough to seal against the bottom side of undertray and radiator and if possible something to block the sides down the bottom.
the gap between underbody tray and bottom of radiator is much larger than the top gap as well as being in more direct path of air. turbo U.S guys in Cali, arizona ect swear by the bottom gap being sealed to make a difference.
best of luck, if you need pics PM me.

Thanks Alex - if you could post some pics that would be most helpful. I was planning on cutting up aluminium but if there is a stick-on alternative, better yet!

I found the adhesive foam worked extremely well around the top and sides, but the huge gap underneath I ended up making an aluminium scoop to block it off as every track day I did I'd come home with the bottom foam missing. The gap was big enough that I had to double stack the foam strip.
Something with a higher adhesion than the bunnings stuff may work better there's a huge amount of air force under the radiator.

Good point Mr Morlock.

Apu might get those foam weather strips Roadrunner linked, cheaper at Masters liquidation.

Here you go mate, no pics of the thick stuff on the side but you get the idea.
The stuff I bought was 2 inch wide and I cut it in half to give me the 1 inch wide you see in the pics. I then layered it till I got the fitment right, the stuff I used has very strong self adhesive on the back put on once and don't try remove.
On the sides I left it two inch wide and stacked as well. May look at an alloy option later for the sides but this works for now
