NA6 turns up tomorrow !!!

My first mx5 turns up this week.
It's a 92 red with ultra low klms.
I'm looking for wheels to go straight on, I'm thinking enkei 92 or similar.
What suggestions do you guys have ??

I'd go with proper ssr meshies. Same style but more period correct.

Does sound like the one that was for sale in the ACT, ie '92 red low kms last seen advertised at $16k.

Hard to put a realistic price on this one. For some, it's all about the $ paid, for others (myself amongst them) we're willing to pay above the norm to get what we want.

The important thing is that you're happy, and that's all that counts!

If it's any consolation. I paid $25k for my 89NA6 with 70k km on it. Ha, ha. Patchy isn't worth much now. But she's priceless at the same time.

As far as wheels go . I'd say there is going to be very varied opinions.
If it were me. I'd leave the wheels stock. Since your car is most likely going to be in real good nick. For me the the beauty of it would be in its originality.

It all depends where you want to go with it.

She's coming from near Canberra to the Gold Coast.
I used Ceva logistics a few times and they are very good. I think it was around $700.

Stan, I plan on keeping everything standard expect wheels and a few bits. Nothing that can't be returned to original condition when needed.
I just like the look of the 5 when they are sitting low with wider rubber.

In that case I'd personally go for some minilites 15" 25mm offset 6.5-7.0inch depending on whats available. Drop it by 2.5 inch or so.

there was a green one around like that for sale recently in canberra I think.

I like dinner-plates really. Not a big fan of agressive offset look. but with the Minilites.....I could live with it.

1992 NA6 red 39k kms asking price $16k is consistent with sub 50k kms NA6 asking prices assuming condition equates to kms.
