Which differential fluid should I buy?

I'm driving a 1995 Mx5, and recently did my oil/trans fluid/turret. Almost all sites suggest using Redline (which is very hard to find around Perth at a decent price). Which off the shelf product should I be using for my differential? My closest store is Supercheap Auto.

depends on the diff, but for the standard open diff, and the Torsen 2 I use Castrol VMX-M

I use the same for gearbox and diff, I personally dont see any need for Redline etc in either unless you feel like spending extra money to tell people you've put in redline.

Supercheap (& others) sell Penrite Pro Gear 75W-90, which seems a good quality full synthetic GL5 oil.

Big fan of Castrol until I found that they don't supply to menai auto parts (my SCA alternative).

Apparently the big chains have blocked them out.

So now I go for nulon to support my local industry and Australia.

Are you kidding me! Where do I sign up?

Regie, I've been meaning to meet you in the flesh for a while now. Think I even posted in your thread to get your attention.

We need... let me rephrase that, Speed needs a dodgy day!

Happy to host and provide food and drinks.

Please pm me, as I've tried you before but never heard back.

Thank you thank you!

This. When I did my diff and gearbox lube last year I used Nulon full synth (75W90 GL5 & 75W85 GL4 respectively) on special from SCA.
