straight tie rod end?

so I was searching the interweb for new tie rod ends and came upon these on ebay.
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Transteering ... XQVT9SqB52I questioned the picture and the seller replied that it was the right part/pic for the car.
Now before people start saying just buy OEM or buy something that looks like OEM I just want to ask you knowledgeable bunch a hypothetical, will these actually work if they say it is for my mx5. Surely a company such as transteering wouldn't change the design and not make it work.I can see it work to an extent but I reckon it would be in a constant bent position if ya feel me.
What does everyone think.

Geoff, did you not notice that the photo for the Silvia tie rod is exactly the same?

yes I know what the OEM looks like and i'm not buying the straight one but my question is still not answered. If the seller states its the right part would it still work theoretically?

The seller more than likely will sell you the right part, but will be using a generic picture for all the tie rods the have on sale as it is easier to do than set up a picture of every different part in stock.

MattR I actually asked the dude if the picture he had on there was the right part and he said it was because he took it out of the box and took a photo of the box as well.

I've recently replaced my tie rod ends on my 93 NA8 Clubman and they were the offset ones that were posted by myredmx5.
I believe that the Clubmans came with these offset tie rod ends, as they were lower than a non-Clubman Mx5s.
Someone correct me if i am wrong, but i think the straight ones are the correct tie rods ends for a non-Clubman NA.
If you have lowered your car, you are better off with the offset ones anyway.
Cheers,
Ken.

What are you arguing GP14? The one in the picture won't work. It might bolt up but the angles and offset will be wrong. Most likely you'll get the right part if you order it, however why would you risk it? There are a gazillion other nearly as cheap tie rods on ebay that have both the right picture and the right description.
All this effort to save $20? Oh hang on... thats only one piece anyway.
The stock tie rod is offset
The type R tie rod is offset more (helps steering when the car is lowered) - approx $75 each

not arguing anything madjak. Wasn't intending to buy. It was a hypothetical to ask if it would work or not.
