NA issue: pop-ups like to do their own thing...

So I've lived with this issue for a while now by just hitting the pop-up button under the hazards when I want to use my lights, but if I just turn my headlights on without using that button, they will occasionally spaz out on me - closing themselves and turning off etc. ... not even at the same time! (sometimes it'll wink) - kinda dangerous.

I assume it is an electrical/contact problem within the indicator stalk but I just wanted to see if anyone else has experienced this or can recommend where to look?

Do you have a multi meter and can you read electrical schematics?

Suspect combination switch. You could try wiggling it to see if you get/lose connection. Let us know how you go. :)

Those links are dead now Magpie :(

Do you happen to have a copy saved for "the greater good"? :D

Check the back of the plug for the diode mod (http://www.miata.net/garage/flash.html), it might be loose (it makes the lights pop up when you flash highbeam)
