Now that I have finally got the intake. I wanted to set it up, but don't specifically know what parts would be effective. I had a look at this set up (photo below) and was wondering where I could get that exact pvc pipe to fit. Anyone know specifically where to get it or better parts to work it. Cheers guys

CAI pipe from MAF to windscreen cowl in that pic looks to be made specifically for that purpose. In other words, it doesn't look like PVC pipe from a hardware store, ie fit, shape & finish. You could try just buying the carbon fibre pipe MX5 Mania sells.

The MX5 mania part is a specific part that they have made up for them.
To make one yourself you could get some light wood and carve a buck, then use that as a mould for fibreglassing.
Much easier however is to go to Bunnings or a plumbing store and look at the PVC pipes etc. I can't remember the specs, but there's a reducer that fits the filter nice and firm, and the other end fits a standard I think 65mm PVC sewer pipe.
The reducer looks like this:
http://www.bunnings.com.au/holman-65-x- ... -_p4750177Take your filter in and just find the one that fits.

Or else go somewhere really cheap like the Reject Shop and look through the selection of vacuum flasks. Some of them have ready made tapered stainless steel sections.

This interests me. Had no idea that the reject shop sold such things.
Maybe I could find something for my pancake pipe. Hmm, food for thought.

I was thinking a PVC reducer from 4 inch to 3. And then having a aluminium pipe after that all the way to the cowl. And then a pipe bracket to finish it off. What do you guys think? Still considering options cause i want it to look good lol.

The main issue will be finding the right sizes off the shelf.
Plumbing fittings are usually measure by their inner diameter, so are often an odd size externally (a 65mm ID is about a 69mm OD)
If you can find the parts to do it, then by all means use them. From my experience though it might be a hard ask

I got mine to work using stuff from Bunnings

Toilet & roof drain stuff I think. The red flexi bendy tube was from SuperCheapAuto.

Even though the rubber reducer here has a hose clamp where it joins to the filter shield, it may as well not be there as the shield isn't solid enough to properly support a clamping force. I later took that clamp off & just had the rubber pushed on as far as it'd go.

Nice work SuperMazdaKart. Looks alright. Any change in Induction noise or is it all the same?

Yeh rather good induction noise. Probably no different from any of the Lock Stewart or copy cat intakes really.

This is the one you want:
http://www.bunnings.com.au/holman-100-x ... t_p4750181Plus a short piece of 65mm pipe, or a flared speaker port (Jaycar used to sell them but don't have the right size any more)
Simota air filter.
Brackets to support the AFM
Adaptor to connect the filter to the AFM (if on a 1.6 engine). Can be found at Supercheap etc.
something something autospeed article...
