Welcome to the forum. I guess from the terms Miata and miles you are not from Australia? Low-end power are you thinking forced or naturally aspirated? You could have a look on Miata Turbo, however asking the same qustion on there as you did on here may get a complete different reception.

Change over the FGR to an American Spec car (or an automatic).....will improve low end pick up.
