Hi Guys. Has anyone heard of Empire Performance? They are selling stainless steel extractors for an NBA on Gumtree for only $179. Seems very cheap?? Anyone purchased a set and are they any good?

I got the Empire headers and apart from modifying the outlet flange holes, I had the 4 manifold ports TIG welded (to build up before rotary burring) in an attempt to align the ports. Note, both the manifolds are chromed steel, so easy to modify, but unknown durability.
Empire heat wrapping is up there with the nastiest (in my limited experience)to use, and lost it's black colour after a few hours use.
Not everybody has ready access to weld/machine resources for this part, consider that against the really low price.

Also had to put dents into the pipe so it could fit the car. Passenger's right foot/computer area gets rather hot, I should make a shield for that area.

And then there was that EGR hole that needed blocking off, Pete from Exhaust World helped me out with that, nice bloke. Reliving this makes me wonder why it needed to be this way!
Oh yes, cheap.

If I had to do this again I would spend the extra on better extractors than the Empire.

Thanks so much for relating your experience. Cheers. I think I know which way I will jump now.
