Got my car

Hey people, I just joined this forum in October. As some of you have read, I had a 300hp S15 that was playing up too much and it was time for a change. Long story short I got an end of year deal on a new NC3 in my favourite colour and flew down to Melbourne to drive it home.
Someone on facebook called it a stormtrooper and I think they nailed it. That's my nickname for the car.
In that 11hrs drive home I got to know and love the car. I miss the torque + power of my s15 but the NC goes good, even at higher speed it accelerates nicely. In a straight line I watch the speedo climb and I think it's a car that's quicker than it feels. I haven't got a knack for smooth gear changes yet.
I think the cornering is great but they didn't make it easy, there's some dive and body roll to work around, which IMO just makes it more fun. I wish the wheels poked out a little more and it needs to be lowered a few inches, but I don't think I'll touch it (yet). Love the cruise control function on the freeway, made my trip home so much easier. I have bluetooth (and hands free) fitted which is handy for listening to music stored on my phone. I think the hard top is good for under 80km/h, above that things get too noisy and the hardtop is better. Looks and road presence are a knock out and you just feel cool driving in a little go kart.
I think the stereo system is pretty bad. I don't know if that's the quality of the head unit, speakers or just the acoustics of the cabin space (top up or down) but it's not clear or very powerful. If anyone has overcome this please let us know.
Anyway I'm just typing this up because I can't sleep and I'm over the moon about my new car. I played a gig for NYE (I'm a drummer) and I have to wait until Friday to drive it because it's unregistered and nothing's open on new years day.
So many blokes out there write these cars off as girly and what not but I'm happy, it just makes them a bit more exclusive. I'm glad to be an mx5 owner. Happy new year everyone and thanks for your kindness and advice so far.
