Very sad

Appears the driver had a heart attack and the daughter very bravely and quickly reacted and steered away from oncoming traffic.
Name hasn't been released yet

Hi all,
Some people have been messaging me regarding a tragic incident in Newcastle NSW On Wednesday night involving an MX-5 NB8A. With the information available at the moment, they were not a member of the NSW club. Maybe on here, but not sure. Unfortunately the driver was announced deceased upon arrival at hospital.
The brave 12 yo passenger is being praised by police and other authorities for her efforts to prevent the car running into other vehicles.

The MX-5 community express their condolences to the family and friends.
