I can put pics taken from the net up, but not pics of the car taken with my phone

Upload them to a site like photobucket.com and link them from there. They even provide forum friendly links that you just paste in. Plus, it's a good place to keep your photos handy. There are smartphone apps as well, so you don't need to use a browser.

I really like tapatalk on my phone, it has a self contained photo uploading function.
Makes it really easy to throw up pics you've taken on your phone.
Also has great browsing functions. I love it.
