Hi All,
On my little MX the PO mounted the full size number plate in the open mouth, I would rather move it back to the original position which I assume is on the nose center to the car???

Does anyone have a picture of the original mount or selling one?

Drill two holes at the bottom of the front plate and keep the current mount. The original mount is horrible!

Thanks EMX005,
I am switching to a slimline plate for the front and really wanted to mount it on the bar, short of just drilling holes in the nose, I was trying to find out how the originals were mounted

you can mount a slimline plate in the nose and use the standard bracket invert it- and its a big improvement over having the thing suspended in front of the bodywork. My recollection was to use an aluminium rhs piece as a spacer to position the bracket / plate - drill holes in the alu rhs and use the same mount points as the original. It does not interfere with cooling. Take a look - have a bit of head scratch make a cup of coffee and its an easy job.

the trouble with that mounting is that a minor push on the plate can end up scratching / damaging the paintwork.

Yep, the last thing you want is a scratch on the nose of your car, found out a bit too late though.
Mine's offset now:

LOL Thanks guys,
The way it was previously mounted has damaged all the paint at the lower edge of the opening, (Gives me an excuse to repaint the bar when I get a lower lip!) - the one shown by Nevyn72 is exactly what I am after! many thanks

I drive over 125klm each way to work 5 days a week and through some pea soup fogs for four or five months of the year so fog lights are a safety thing as much as anything else - I was thinking of fitting the lower half of an NB bumper - but that is a lot of work for a similar outcome - now I just have to find some fog light brackets and good to go!!!

I love the look if the lights in the air dam.
Eye of the beholder and all that junk, I guess.
