Car Inspection

Postby rollsroy » Fri May 09, 2014 11:13 pm

Hi Guys!

I'm looking to buy a car interstate and was wondering if any knowledgeable members in the Sydney area would be willing to check out a car for me before I fly down?

If you would like i'd be happy to compensate you a little for your time.

Thanks!

Another alternative from a forum member inspecting would be:

http://www.stateroads.com.au/

There's also a few other independant companies that also offer a similar service.

Prior to purchasing my car a number of years ago, I used State Roads for an inspection. They were very thorough and provided an in-depth report.

The inspection back then was ~$200, but I negotiated more than the value of the inspection off the purchase price. So all in all, I still ended up in front.

In your case, if anything is found in the report that requires attention, I'm sure you could negotiate the cost to fix it plus your flight costs (if not more) to offset your travel costs & time.

Well worth considering!

Best of luck!

thats the best idea...a forum member might feel bad if he missed something that you have issues with down the track.
i just bought mine from sydney and a check was going to be about $400... i took a leap of faith and trusted the licenced seller(broker) and his rwc.
i am not saying to do as i did because there is some risk involved.
but i would advise a revs check for any money owing and accident records.
