Idle issue..?

Postby Rasputin » Thu May 08, 2014 11:14 am

So my car has occasional spasms were it will start, choke for a bit- then idle will sit at 3-4000 RPM. During this, my head unit turns off and the window wonder motors speed up to about 2x normal speed.

The Wideband sensor reads 10.3 when idling, which is way too rich. Should be up around 15.

I think the Ecu is receiving too much voltage and it's making the injectors over fuel.

Is this a voltage regulator issue?

If so - an alternator change should do the trick?

NB's alternators are regulated by the ecu. No internal reg like NA's.
