Hi.
Watched the first episode last night. They have bought an mx5 for 1600 pounds for refurbishment and resale. Last night they repaired a rusted a pillar and have a set of secondhand seats and carpet with a new soft top to be fitted. Thought if anybody is interested tune in.

Yeah, those are very old episodes from series 3, they're just finishing up series 11 in the UK now.
The show has changed majorly from it's old format, no longer is Ed doing small fixes other home mechanics could tackle. They spend huge money now, bare metal resprays almost every episode and other huge jobs. They've been sourcing cars from the US lately, shipping them over to make a profit in the UK, fully stripping them down and restoring them. The latest episode Mike bought an Amphicar in Florida for $35,000us, shipped it back to the UK and spent another £10,000 fixing it up. Crazy money.
Some jobs they do are really nice, but others are just terrible. They "fixed up" an FD RX7 a few weeks back and completely ruined it, covering it in snakeskin vinyl and and other hideous mods.

has any of the aussie episodes been aired yet?
They were over here prolly about 6 months ago doing some filming at the All Brittish Day at the Kings School. They were/are doing some aussie restos

The revisited episode for the Mx-5 is really funny, Ed finds that the current owner has no concept of how to maintain a car, and gives her quite a sarcastic talking to.
Had no idea that they were here, excited to see the Torana/Falcon/Monaro/Whatever they will be doing up. It's probably part of the new Trading Up season?
