MX5s, especially NAs, are such simple cars. ie you really dont need a "specialist" mechanic. You can take it anywhere, just as long as they are trustworthy and reliable.

of course its nothing like my local miatamotive on socal, but its not bad :)

there are good mechanics in all areas- servicing and basic repairs are nothing special on MX5s.The key factor is what is convenient for work or not having to arrange tricky pick ups etc.

If you need something specific done, the yes, sometimes a knowledgeable mx5 mechanic will help, but if you want someone to do the general servicing then anywhere is fine.

I'd recommend taking it to a knowledgable mx5 mechanic initially to get an inspection done as they will know what to look for in terms of any potential issues and then anywhere after that (assuming nothing found)
