I am seeking a bit of advice in what I should ask for my 98 NA8A. I have been agonizing over selling it for some time. Reason for selling is due to it's little use. (5,000k in last 14 months). Grace green. Just serviced at 90k by MX Mania. Full service history every 5000 ks. Full synthetic oil. Always 98 ron petrol. Never tracked. Always garaged and never accident damaged. 11 months rego. Has Xforce 4,2,1 headers, high flow cat and stainless exhaust. I don't know how to post a picture. Any advice would be much appreciated. Leon

A very quick scan of the for sale section showed:

$7k
$7.5k x2
$8.5k
$9k

You need to decide if yours is better than those. Either way, price it accordingly.

FWIW, I think the prices advertised are too low. I have been surprised at the NB prices lately, even saddened a little. That said, you cant compete with competition if you price yourself out of the market. But if you have a better product you can ask more money for it.

It will be worth what someone is prepared to pay for it. The choice to ask for top dollar and wait or price it to sell will all be yours.

For reference, I got mine back in Jan for $5750 (Evo 'Gol'), with 180k - needed master/slave cylinder and aircon regas, but it passed RWC. Soft top's a little tired but doesn't leak, but body's good. Might give some reference.

I would have thought something around $8kish might have been a start.

Also have a look at the range of asking prices for 1998 NB8A's on Carsales.com.

From your description yours sounds like one of the better ones, ie low kms, FSH, always garaged, never accident damaged, not tracked. If condition is consistent with these things then start just under $10k & go from there.

Click on 'browse' to locate the pic file then click on 'add the file' below that. Then just move the cursor to where you want the pic in the post & click on the 'place inline' button just below the text field.

Step by step that's:
Click on 'post reply' (below)
See 'Upload attachment' (just below 'submit' buuton)
Click on 'Browse' (to the right of 'Filename')
Then click on 'add the file'
Then see 'attachments' (above the 'submit' button)
Click on 'place inline'
Repeat for each pic
Then click on 'submit'

Five pics per page with above method, so if you've got more, just do a second or third post.

Alternatively, if you want to use an pic hosting website account - see how to post pictures on the MX5 Car Talk forum:

93_Clubman wrote:There's a number of ways to resize pics, but an automatic & easy to do it in bulk if using the Windows OS is:

Using Windows Explore (right click on bottom left green start button) right click on photo file - select 'send to' & 'mail receipient' - then you'll be given the option to resize photo - click 'ok'. This will open an Outlook email which you can then click on the 'File' pull down menu to select 'save attachments'. If you have more than one photo, then just hold down the 'Ctrl' key while selecting the others - they will then all attach to the email & you can use 'save attachments' to capture them all. You should then find Outlook has resized pics to something useable on the forum.

Thank you for your good advice and information. I just listed it on car sales for $9250.
Will attempt to list it on this forum. Not sure about uploading photos though. Leon

Yeah, after I posted the above I had a quick look on Carsales.com & saw it there. If you decide to advertise on here, the easiest thing to do is simply include a link to your Carsales.com ad:
http://www.carsales.com.au/private/deta ... =9&sdmvc=1

Btw, good ad for what looks like a nice tidy NB8A - GLWS!
