I have a NA6 with the new design of tombstone and looking to install my air/fuel gauge but not sure of good areas to install the gauge. I do not wish to remove the eye ball vents and i would like to have a pannel to go with my single din radio but havent seen any that will fit the new style Tombstone. Also installing on the A frame is probably a last option.

And later on ill install a Turbo gauage..when i get turbo but that is too far down the track to worry about at the moment.

I've got a OMGPHAM one in my car, only issue is its for the older tombstone.

^^thats what i originally wanted but my old tombstone needed replacing and ended up buying the new style one

Did that fit snug with the new style tombstone? I like that style how it slightly faces the driver!

The omgpham ones fitted which ever style you ordered them for. Mine is for the newer NA tombstone. The other option would be a zoom engineering tombstone that puts the gauges an an extra section up the top above the eye ball vents. I think rupe has for one sale ~$300

That was an option i saw bu its pretty pricey, I didn't know Pham did them for both designs but. Just to clarify the "new" tombstone you're referring to is the one without that gap basically

Yeah the zoom stuff is pricey. If it was cheaper I'd have installed it already.

Yeah so na6 and early na8? (Maybe only USA early na8) have the tombstone with one size late na8 have the other size. Pham did ones to suit both Na versions and nb I though?

Yea he contacted me today that he does do both, bloody champ!

Or think about mounting the AF in the glove box, it is almost impossible to read anyway when you are driving.

that was an option also but Pham's radio din panel is cheap, easy and works nice. Also my fascia (i think thats the word) isnt flush with the tombstone as i had to get an Autobarn one so my original idea was to delete it and have just a clean black panel or gauges.

Also Magpie hows your car going? last time i saw it, it was at automotive plus open day, looked super mean!

At the open day it was not running, now it is It is a fun car to drive, but not as a daily (Blackwater to Curragh mine). I'm yet to post some video of it at the Time Attack Round 1 at QR however from comments the ITB's have a wonderful sound to them going down the main straight.

Main problem with the car is driver related and hence it is not getting used at its full potential, however I'm working on this... It will be at QR on 01/05/14 then into MX5 Plus for a service and possibly another dyno tune as the engine is loosening up now. Aim is for at least 1:07 clubman and 1:04 sprint (1 sec less than last times). Advise is the car is capable of much faster but at the moment I'm not...

Another place to put the AFR is on a mount down near your left knee but up against the side of the tombstone. This is where Jason mounted mine and it is out of the way. I have a 2 hole version from omgpham and it is great. Just be aware that if you are using some Innovate gauges it is not possible to use a 3 hole version from omgpham because of the size of the face of the gauges, they fit a standard gauge hole but because the facias are larger they take up more external space.

Great info on the innovate gauges taking too much space!

Here is a quick photo I took this afternoon. You can see that 3 MTX Innovate gauges will not fit, not sure on their other gauges however if they do not have changeable faces they should be OK.
