Hi guys, I found a NA in Victoria that I would like to buy, but I am not sure how can I bring it back to Perth. Can someone please tell me how to get the car tansport to Perth and after it deliveried, what do I have to do with the rego things? Thanks.

Transport can be done through a car transporting company, have a look on google or yellow pages and find some, then call them as get a quote.

Rego, talk to whatever government body deals with rego in WA.

I found this info out in about 5 mins and I live in QLD. I suggest that, as others have said, do some research. Whilst forums are helpful, it is better to check your own facts out. It would be silly to say to an officer "I'm doing this because somebody on a forum told me I could".

Isn't it driving back from Victoria to WA has higher risk than transport?

Send the car air freight then. How you perceive risk is different to me, what is your risk profile? If concerned about risk do a JHA/JSA and a journey management plan and work the risk out yourself.

If the vehicle was 'legal', the cost of time to drive Melb to Perth may also be a consideration, unless you treat it as a holiday. If you're not going to personally inspect the vehicle, which would involve travel, then transport it back (assuming you've had it inspected locally by a trusted & professional source, or it's cheap & you're buying it on the basis of pics & discussions).

Don't forget you can also purchase an unregistered vehicle permit from the State or Territory in which the vehicle currently resides, but living in WA you'll also need to purchase one from WA Transport (for travel from SA-WA border to Perth), as WA doesn't recognise unregistered vehicle permits from other states.

I've used Toll & CEVA three times over the past few years to transport cars from Perth, Brisbane, & Northern NSW. Both Toll & CEVA were good & competitively priced, which is not to say there aren't others out there. Believe Prix is now Toll's car carrying operation, or carries on behalf of Toll.

Having bought a car interstate and dríven it 4000km home via the great ocean road I can recomend it 100%.

what about the WA equivalent of the RACQ? Are you looking for reasons to not drive. If you want to transport it, transport it stop with excuses. You asked for advice either accept it or reject it, simple or better yet don't ask if you already have your own answer and you just want to increase your post count!
