Australian Delivered Eunos? and LSD question

Had my car down at a buddy's, and he said its a Eunos?
It is a 1994 MX 5 NA, first reg'd in 1995.
As stated it has;
Chrome edging around the odometer,
door trims have little map pockets, no pop out speaker section. Its all one piece
Power Antenna
Electric Mirrors
Eunos Badge on the front

There is no compliance plate, and I have service history from the first original owner and the second (I am the third).

Sounds a little confusing :\

Also, after reading some of the option packages, most mx5's that had the above also had a torsen lsd? Found this page, but it doesn't offer me a clear cut way to know if I have one or not. http://www.miata.net/garage/diffguide/index.html

More so a little worried because i put in regular diff oil for my diff oil change, instead of LSD Oil. Would this turn it into a open diff due to incorrect oil?

sounds like a standard aus delviered na8 that someone has put a eunos badge on.

My aus car has all the same bits, they later Na8s lost the chrome rings and got the different door cards.

Unlikely it will have a LSD unless someone added one as only the clubmans got a LSD in Aus.
It should have mazdas manufacture plate and an Australian compliance plate that is dated a couple of months later.

Haha, guess thats what's thrown people - that badge!

Good to know the packages where a little different in Aus compared to the states. Anybody know if there where many Laguna Blue's in 94?

I'll also add.

Torsen uses the same oil as the open diff.
Type1 Torsens should use an oil with EP rating (extreme pressure)

It's only clutch pack LSD that need fancy expensive oil

Good to know, I put Nulon 75w-90 GL5 in the diff and Castrol Syntrans 75w85 in the gearbox. I couldn't find anything off the shelf that was 75w90 in GL4 like the manual calls for.

early na8's got nardi wheels while the later ones went back to a momo i believe.

I looked at putting a eunos badge on my car (i like the badge better) but the pin holes of the badge are actually different, so they aren't a straight swap.

are the stickers under the bonnet in Japanese or English?

Everything is in english, so its not a import to my knowledge. ( I have a R33, and thats all in Jap)

Also has a Nardi Steering wheel. I am pretty sure its a eunos badge...Really need to take some photos of my bloody car!

When you say it has a Eunos badge, which one do you mean?

This is the one that you see on the front bumper of JDM grey import NA6s:

This is the Mazda "eternal flame" badge that you see on Aussie delivered NAs from about 1993 to 1997:

LOTS of people assume the mazda "toilet bowl" badge is a eunos badge.
It's just 80's/90's mazda haha

It's not a Clubman is it? See the Clubman FAQ for details - give Mazda a call and they can tell you from the VIN. The Clubman came with a Torsen LSD.

Even if it was a torsen in 94. Its 2014 now, so it ain't a LSD no more...

Why not? My Torsen seems to work fine.
