Just got a chip and tune for my SP replica setup on an 01 nb. Dyno results below. What you guys think? I was pretty happy with the numbers

Pretty decent numbers, was this with the totally stock SP setup?

Its a sp manifold, turbo and dump, 3 inch downpipe with 3 inch metal cat, stock se exhaust so pretty quiet. Cooling pro intercooler. Rx8 injectors and chiptorque flash tuned.

Red is the turbo system on the base tune that chiptorque provided so i could install turbo system and drive it around till i got it on the dyno.
Blue is after custom tune. Lachlan also did the tuning on SP's for mazda so he knows this engine well. All up the ecu chip and flash tune was under $1400 so im really impressed with what the stock ecu and afm can do!

I was expecting to see ~165rwkw from your setup since the GT2560 is a much bigger turbo than the SE's little IHI turbo which, with all the typical bolt-ons, tends to "safely" max-out at ~150rwkw.
Some SP owners/snobs scoff at the puny SE turbo but given its size, it really does punch above its weight.
Your next upgrade needs to incorporate a MAP sensor to unleash those extra "killerwasps" - you probably say now that 157rwkw is enough but power is addictive

That's what I thought, I was expecting around 165-170 rwkw but from memory I think Chris mentioned to me because its not a piggy back or standalone ecu the boost is only around 6 or 7 psi? None the less that's a great figure besides a number is only a number how it feels on the road driving is what counts and I bet you cant stop smiling with all the extra power and torque haha. Cant wait to have another turbo car one day. Turbo's are sooooo addictive and so is listening to a spooling turbo on a cool night through the hills

Ahhh, low boost explains it. Without building your engine, where you're at now is probably perfect since 250rwhp is generally the ceiling for a stock NA/NB.

Yeah Im running 9psi, but on flashed ecu the maf runs out of voltage at 160. Can investigate other maf options but I did have the 250 rule in my head a so this keeps it nice and safe. Torque gain is huge and car has great street manners, credit to Lachlan at Chiptorque, he knows the engine well. Ecu flash and dyno tune was 1400, so for the extra 2k for a standalone to gain maybe 20kw, its just not worth it. Really happy with how hard it pulls with the 3.9 torsen, can't wait to run a 1/4 mile!

I spoke to Lachlan about using the Eunos 800M sensor, it might be worth looking into as it has the same dimensions and electrical connector. Being a supercharged 2.3 it should hopefully have a different (higher) volume before topping out the voltage.
Nice results by the way!
