HI I'm new to the forum and am currently looking to buy an NC1 MX-5 and wanted to know if anyone could tell me where I can find a trusted mechanic to get the car inspected and have future services done once I purchase an MX-5 In Melbourne
Also if anyone has any tips on what to look out for etc.
Any help would be much appreciated.
-Daniel

Where abouts in Melbourne are you depending where you are I'd suggest city Mazda, out north max kirwans, east mx5 factory and down south Mammi motors

It was covered recently. Many car dealers provide warranties and reports. it's handy to have someone go with you to drive a car and to get impressions. RACV do testing and you can ask for cost and report features. Look for the usual -condition service books km.s travelled etc. be aware that the first iteration of the NC changed later in 2006 so not all 2006 are the same . There are guides on the site for what to look for but these are not cars with lots of issues.
Getting servicing done is easy. These are modern straightforward vehicles and yr local area will have businesses that can easily do this work. See who yr local friends or family use.
