Howdy All,

About time I whacked these up!

96 Montego Blue - bog stocker with 183,000 klms on it and a CD head unit.

Grabbed a set of NB8A 10AE rims off Boyracer, which I've yet to fit, but should looks sweet!

Price tag of $6250 which for a late model 1.8 NA8 I was happy with, based on some dearer NA6's out there!

Fitted new plugs, leads and air filter at Mania and still run like crap, David checked the timing and it was running at a shitty 2 degrees, and had just been serviced! WTF! :|

Bumped it to 14 degrees and a few tanks of injector cleaner and 98 premium and she's a weapon again!

Time for a Fish & Chips run one Wednesday night anyone???

Craig

P.S. Yes I'll have to de-QLD it and have the Priest exorcise the evil QLD Spirits from it! :P

Was there a car in those photos? I couldn't see it over the front number plate.

Well done Craig! When does the turbo kit arrive?

Looks very tidy Craig - those 10AE wheels should look good.

I'm hoping so too, but getting old now and think a bog stock set would just look normal!

Good on you, Craig. Sounds like a good buy.
It will look terrific with the 10AE wheels.

Thanks Rocky!

Well been to the RTA 3 times today...

Early morning emergency pinkslip for wifeys car as running out of rego on the 23rd, then up to de-QLD the car and forgot the bloody blueslip so back to the car to fetch that and line up again...but it's all NSW based now and is getting a wash and cut/polish to remove any remaining QLD germs! :P

Doing the rims this arvo...pics to come!

Indeed, the normal NB8A rims do look a bit dated on the NAs these days, but those 10AE NB8A rims look perfect, especially with the dark body colour!

Stupid RTA messed up my PO box address for rego renewal, and then wanted silly money to get them renewed!

Yeh that's what I thought, was on the fence when I initially fitted them, but sold on them now.
