its all so bloody confusing

hi everyone,
love this forum, love to read what people are doing to there mx5's, there view on mods ect, but jeez it can be confusing, I want to build my na8 into the best road/ sometimes track car that I can, also want the car to look essentially stock but run the best bits I can, upgrade brakes, improve handling ect, I don't need massive horsepower, but enough to make it real fun to drive------I take in all the advice I can from everyone here, ha sometimes to much advice :NA8:

Yup, it's all bloody confusing.

And this forum is great for sorting out the confusion (as well as creating it).

Ross,
Check the garage threads, Ben Sale has an NA and does very well, check his results and his tuning tips. It is important to have a datum, so start a log and include everything including a section for stuff that appeals to you for future reference.

Decide if you want forced or naturally aspirated first and make decisions from there.

You can eat an elephant if you take small bites.

Ross it's also difficult to sort the wheat from the chaff online. Meaning, you don't necessarily know if you are talking to a keyboard warrior or someone who actually has the development experience and expertise with an mx5 to be well placed to give you sound advice. There are some big talkers around. I would recommend you go and talk to one of the expert workshops, mx5 plus have a good rep.
