All good here even though its a NA6 with the dreaded short nose crank, but it does have a VLSD.
Almost forgot its an import to boot

snapped my weeeeeee little diff.
although it can happen in the NA8. They are pretty much imumne to these issues

Tore the pinion gear out of my 1st Torsen
And although the crank didn't snap it was twisted 2 degrees on #1 cylinder. (Threw a leg outta bed).
I think that rates as \"both\"

Done the crank, been pretty lucky with the diff in the mx5. Ive already gone through 2 in the bimmer

While I haven't had any problems with the diff or crank, it has been reported that I don't have a standard diff. So I am just going to assume that either a) the diff cracked and was replaced with a viscous, or b) my car has been in some crazy ass accident and the diff was snapped (one of the first things to go in a crash yes?)

Haven't had the short nose problem...

But it's only a matter of time before the diff packs up and goes to the great junk yard in the sky!
