hi guys,

i am planning on going down to sydney and other places nearby in september with my brother to see some relatives, but i got an idea.

i would like to drive from brisbane down to sydney, then melbourne, and then out across the great ocean road to adelaide. then go back again. My idea was to see if anyone else was interested in such a trip. it would be a continuos cruise basically picking up new people in the major cities that we went through all the way down to adelaide. you'd get to see some of the best scenery australia has to offer and drive on some of the best roads.

would anyone else be interested in this? just an idea at the moment. not limited to mx5's or mazda's, completely open, providing they are responsible people.

well i'll say hello but i aint going along with this big trip

obviously, we are finishing in adelaide after all. but at least you'll get to see the car finished

couldn't do it if I wanted, uni 5 days a week and working the other 2
but let us know when u'll be in syd and I'll tag along for a bit, would be good to finally meet some forum members

awww, you figured out my plan i want to take it through all the hills and fine roads the east coast has to offer kitkat actually suggested tassie to me as well, but thats getting pricey then

SM, it is in the holiday period, uni isnt on september time. unless you have to work then of course thats a good excuse.

No stop over in Perth

I,d love to meet up for a couple of days and put some faces to the names. A couple of days

perth is just too far to go, i cant really afford that much fuel in my car. it gets 20L/100k's remember, so this is going to be a very expensive trip for me silly rotary...........no i take that back, i love it

adelaide is my final stop i believe, so i can catch up with the guys that built parts of the car originally and show them how far its come. probably be there for a day then leave the next.

tell your bosses that you will be stopping in at some of the vineyards on the way and will pick up some very nice wine for them

it will probably be in september, early to mid i'd say. nothing is definate yet, just seeing if anyone else is interested really. if there is enough interest i will go ahead with the whole thing (if i cant fund it of course).

iok so thats when they start. it will be in the holidays to accomodate for my brother (high school) .

Probably wont do the run but very keen to catch up in Sydney when you drop in!

Better check his holidays, i'm in a private school, we finished yesterday , 4 school days ahead of the state system.
