No bias there JBT :P

Absolute bias mate. :)
Loved the NA8 but it was no contest once I drove the NC.
Mind you, if we'd had the garage space, I'd have kept the NA too for the emotional attachment.

I've not dríven anything but the NC but I am very happy with how it performs with just a few mods.

I've had my NB for 1 year.
Had to replace heater hoses, radiator hoses, radiator, spigot bearing, fuel oil and air filters (regular service), redid a bunch of gaskets and seals, changed oil over to redline in the engine diff and gearbox, new shift boots, leather gaitor, bought an SE exhaust for it, Mazdaspeed springs, had the springs fitted, 2x new KU31 tires, wheel alignment, and had to replace a control arm that I broke fitting the springs, and that has all up cost me just over 3k.
Just over 3.6k if you include the $400 paint on the nose, a few cans of plastidip, a new timing wheel and a few other bits and bobs.

Did about 50% of the work myself however.

3.6k depreciation on an NC in a year? Who can compare these costs. Please note my 3.6k includes several upgrades, not just regular mainainance. Also the spigot bearing was not replaced the last time the clutch was done at 90,000km (car is at 124,000, was at 120,000 when I did all that stuff). The springs and exhaust obviouly were optional, as was the timing wheel and new leather bits inside the car. The control arm isn't something that usually needs replacing either...
