Re: People's real names v forum names
Hi I've just joined. My name's Kurt but I've always used the 'Eeyore' tag as the character's solemn and sensible natured always resonated with me. Realistically it's probably just a gag more then anything.
I've been foruming for about 12 years and the name has stuck.

Haha thanks Danny. My brother is right in to these little cars and I think I'm starting to be swayed that way too.

The name's Liem.
Finished a mechatronics engineering degree a few years back, so I've got text-book knowledge of automobile physics. In the real world, I can turn a spanner with instruction.
Where I can contribute best to this community is electrical/electronic/software/control related tech topics.

Can you come over and help me assemble this Lego Pirate ship my 5 year old has ??????? Its for 8-12 year olds but my 20 + years Mech Engineering background doesn't come close to covering the complexities associated with this sucker.

Haha, I don't have an engineering degree but I have had an obsession with Lego since I was a child and I'd be happy to help . My girlfriend bought me a Lego sailing ship a few years ago, but despite rating myself pretty highly at Lego building (and being 27 - sad I know), it still took me 4 hours to put the 1700 peices together. Was worth it now that the ship stands tall on my desk today. Good luck!
On a more serious note, my real name is Robert. 'Smacca' has been my nickname since high school, when one of my mates called me a "smacked arse", abbreviated it to Smacca and it stuck. I also use Smacca as my handle for gaming profiles and online memberships.

My real name is Shannon.
EVLGURL is my user name/number plate.
Came from a 'VL' commodore. (I was a bogan back in the day) & it's spelt gurl since I say girl like an American & used to get teased for it, so figured I'd just make it mine.
Plates are now on my EVO & everyone just thinks its 'EVL' for evolution, so it still works.

refers to my first car back in 1991 (yupp i'm that old).
was a toyota corolla Dx (ke70) with 13 inch steelies and 185/75 rubber + floating spacers to make it stick 1 inch past the guards ... chopped springs, seat reclined almost horizontal (coz that's how i thought all cool race car drivers rode), 150 watt pioneer tape deck (actual output prolly 5watt) blasting the crap out of a pair of 6x9's installed in a wooden box

Hi fellow mx5'ers,
Recently joined and lurking through the site. Thought it was about time to say hello haha.
My real name is Andrew and the forum name was supposed to represent that via '&Drew' but it picked up the coding for the & symbol.
Hence why it now spells ampersandDrew.. which sort of sounds like me.. all over the place !!
Hope to learn what I can from everyone and do the same in return .
Cheers, Andrew.

Re: People's real names v forum names
Hey All.
Been lurking for a while, just started dropping a few posts recently.
The Evil Panda came from a random sticker in the boot I found after I bought the car.
The sticker had a crease across it that gave the Panda an angry look.
So the MX5 was dubbed "The Angry Panda"
My real name is Chad.
I live in Dingley Village, Victoria.
I'm a Libra who likes sunsets and like long walks on the beach.
