Re: Show me your numberplates and what they mean to you
Had to wait until I transferred the rego (only a day after I bought it) before I could order my new plates so they're still on the way.....
Like many others here I wasn't prepared to pay the NSW RMS gouge of ~$500pa for some of the better options so settled on a $99pa version.
MX.50.SE
Hmmmm....... I wonder what that means......

I have the following "MX5" plates:
NMX516 - had this on my NA6 (1.6L engine)
NMX518 - on my NB8A (1.8L engine)
SPO96 - on my previous SP, number 96/100
NMX516 - had this on my NA6 (1.6L engine)

Pain is temporary, quitting lasts forever.

Nothing special just yet, first general issue plates, but have a few ideas...

Pretty happy with these. Wasn't sure if wanted to pay the yearly fee but bit the bullet and now I cant give them back.

The MX5 SE equivalent is still available, I seriously considered it but the $400pa difference in annual fee pays for a lot of fuel and/or bits for the car!

"Hal" is the real name. The "999" ? The last of the HAL series. The "Ultimate Hal" if you like. Hal on wheels.
It is a standard issue QLD number/letter combo.
I had a beat up early QLD plate on my previous car and when they started issuing the HAL series I just walked into the Transport office and asked if I could swap over to a HAL plate.
They said "sure - what number do you want".
The swap cost $17. plus another $100. to turn it into a black/silver slimline.

Do you guys have a yearly fee when you buy personalized plates? Here in QLD once you buy the plate and get it transferred to your car that's it, no more cost apart form rego etc.
