Address in in my signature
These rings will take no more than 1 min for the first operation and maybe another min for the second operation. The cost is purely in the set up time and to machine soft jaws to hold the ring plus the cost of the aluminium and anodizing if needed.
Attached is the 5 axis lathe they will be machined on.

Anyway the offer is there if you like.

I can drive by today, if you have time to make a sample? I can also bring my Moto-Lita gear knob to see if you can make that since almost everyone want one.

10 would be a good number though. How does that compare to your quote?.

We are working on these at the moment for a few guys on here. (Including me)

Richard, good to know(machining in general), especially as you are local to me :)

You will have to leave the sample with me as machine is running presently but we are fishing today so next week will be better.
I cant do on the spot as there is probably 1/2 day set up.
The factory is open until 12.00 if you want to just drop off.

Regie, you are practically next door!
Once the car is running, I'll be keen to meet up with the locals. Am close but not there yet.

Sorry cant leave the original product. I can only bring it for the purpose of measurement while im there. Chances of finding one of these for sale in this condition is next to nil and considering the amount of time I waited to for these to come around and its cost, I rather to be present when you measure. I'm sure you understand being an enthusiast yourself. If its not possible, I can have these made by local CNC shop at $100/set.

What did you think I was going to do…….Steal your rings…...
$100 from your local shop seems like a good deal. I would go with them. Don't bring them to me. I don't want anything to do with them now.

Sorry mate, I didn't say you gonna steal it. I just can't risk any kind of accidental and unintentional damage or scratches. Besides, I'm not making any money out of this, but you were going to. I'm just trying to contribute to other enthusiast forum members by doing something for free! So please, don't get upset and again, I apologise for any misunderstanding.

I reckon Bear is very generous in offering his services which almost any other business would not be bothered with. Setting up machines and paying overheads is no small thing.

One of the rare occasions I (or many of us ) would agree with Morlock, but yes, Richard is a fantastic guy.

Have to say I'm a bit disappointed that bear won't be on board. Those tow hooks are drool worthy and so is his turbo nb.
I'm still keen for a set of the rings either way, let me know how you're moving forward.

Hhmmm well, all I tried to do was to share my equipment for free and let other enthusiasts share my passion and joy. The shop that was going to profit from my offer is being called generous but no acknowledgement of my free initiative. This is why people don't do nice things any more. This offer is now closed.
