Why they have never pull over those limo with their blue leon lights being visible. Once again I checked very carefully, you are allow to have neon lights under your car, as long as it is not visible to others and it is not FLASHING. It never say what colour is not allow.

I got pinged one morning at 6.30 for having blue LED number plate lights. He let me go but told me to change them that day.
My understanding (and I may be wrong) is that FORWARD FACING red or blue lights are illegal. Like an MX-5 is going to be confused with an Ambo......

If you go to my garage page then you will know none of my lights can be seem from the front or rear, all the lights are pointing down toward the ground.

Kudos to the OP for making his car unique and rocking the neons.
I believe it bad form to knock other enthusiasts modification choices.
To the OP, maybe have a switch to turn off the neons if needed or maybe
change to another colour.
I think purple will go well with silver......

So as soon as I read the topic, I started humming Daft Punk - Get Lucky.

So here goes:

Like the legend of the tesco
All ends with beginnings
What keeps the forum trolling
The force of neons beginning

We've come too far to give up who we are
So let's raise the bar and our keyboards to the stars

He's up all night 'til he gets done
I'm up all night to get some
He's up all night for bad fun
I'm up all night to bad lucky

Forgive me, I'm not my usual creative self today. Brain struggling.

P.S. All just jokes

got a link to what you are checking? cos:-

http://www.transport.wa.gov.au/mediaFil ... IB_108.pdf

A vehicle fitted with coloured lighting can be given a compliance notice (defect notice/yellow sticker)

A vehicle fitted with coloured lighting can be given a compliance notice:
Under-body lamps are visible when viewed by another driver whilst seated in a low vehicle.
Where under-body lamps are fitted, there exist chromed under-body car components which may reflect the light unacceptably towards other road users.
The lamps fitted can be confused with turn indicators, brake lamps, emergency warning lamps, etc.
The lighting diminishes the conspicuity of other statutory lighting requirements.
The lamps flash or if they can be made to flash.

2 reasons within WA transport mobs that would have got you a defect...

not sure what you mean by checking carefully. But I found that with a 5 second google search.

the lights on cars, buses trucks etc are all specified ie the signal colours. Its obvious that lighting must be uniform otherwise you would no know what a particular function meant eg a flashing amber light for a turning operation. Its would seem pretty odd to say you can have any colour you like under your car as long as these are not illuminated. If in doubt look up the regulation/ or rule or contact authorities or car peak bodies. A commonly used expression is that ignorance of a law is no excuse for not complying.

If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

Sorry if this is a stupid question , but what aesthetic purpose to lights serve if they cannot be seen by anyone whilst stationary or moving? Let's just pretend we have aesthetically pleasing lights that nobody can see?

They can see the light reflected off the road surface but not the globes.

Is there a way to wire it to a switch - off when you don't want to attract the wrong kind of attention?

OP is trolling?

Edit: Nope, checked garage thread. Well, at least not trolling about the neons.

Can't say you weren't warned dude.

Also your whole logic is a little flawed. Let me demonstrate with just a few words change from your first post...

Just drove through RBT after gym on Orrong road like 5mins ago... And of cause I passed the test but the cops wasn't happy with my speeding. He said that I am not allow to speed, because it is a law. Which is funny, because every Friday I saw lots of limos speeding on the street and their limo even much taller than my car, which mean their speed is more visible.

Good luck with that. Let me know how you go.

I have a switch and everything is legal, except it is blue colour. Honestly I have been having these neon lights for more than a year, last night was the first time got warning. I might take it off instead of purple. If I have to change the colour then I will just give it up.
