ZR - they do have numbers, however it's not quite that simple. Some of our cars are "pre-production" models that did the rounds at Motor-shows or as magazine test cars... so it is a bit of a "Can'O'Worms" you touch on...

In order to find out the number of your SP, you have to remove the air filter box, which by now is getting rather brittle, and seeing that a new one is over $5K to buy from Mazda, not too many of us are willing to remove it to find the number.

Mine is number 17 however.

Well buy Marador's silver one then, he's crazily dropped the price to $23K, plus you get a guru, cruise, a few engine bay mods and some blingy bits. It's a freaking steal.
