Here's another update on what I'm doing to my current ND.

I've bought the AutoExe exhaust undertray and I was going to buy their centre exhaust to go with it, but after talking to the guys from Automotive Plus in Zillmere, they had their fabricator have a look at my current exhaust to see if we can modify it to the centre, to fit the new undertray.

Image

Unfortunately, it's too expensive, so they have come up with a solution. They are making one to fit that will come out in the centre, just like the picture.

They have to order in some parts, but it should all be fitted and running by the end of the week. The price was almost 1/3 of what the autoexe exhaust would have cost me after importing it into the country.
I'll be a happy chap, I managed to keep the money in our State and the boys have learned a few tricks for the next happy ND customer.

Geoff is a great guy to talk to, I'm looking at getting a whole heap of other work through those guys, they are Great!!

Mustang test. Interesting comment at 28:30 about the car in front being better able to put its waaay less power down more efficiently than the Mustang V8, and that he doesn't call it a Miata.

Geez, my 2005 NC1 over the last 4 years, always using 95RON, has given an average of 9.78 l/100, with the range being between 7.02 and 12.21.

The second part is accurate of course. We don't do much city driving though, which helps a lot with the fuel economy. Our daily drive to and from work is mostly on a freeway and then three traffic lights.

That ND in the photo, looks like a 'roadster' (base) model 2.0? We are expecting our White version to arrive in Oz around mid Dec (fingers crossed!). The base model 2.0 I think has the black mirrors? An interior shot would be awesome!

Looks identical to the 2.0 Roadster in the PDF brochure with "Power mirrors (piano black)".
Colour is Blue Reflex Mica and not Reflex Blue as I stated in the earlier post.
2.0 GT seems to have body coloured mirrors.

Got our first 2.0 today, actually a registered Mazda Australia press demonstrator.

Loving it!

Soul Red GT manual with the "tan" (cream) interior. I reckon this would be my personal spec, unless there's an easy way to put an LSD in an auto. Whoops, did I just say "auto" out loud?

Thanks Dave, a very nice car. Took it for a little spin up Arthur's Seat and back through Red Hill thanks to you and Mornington Mazda, a brilliant drive that really shows off the little beast's handling. You certainly notice the difference between this and the 1.5. Very similar in butt-dyno feel to the SE I had.

Certainly a very drivable machine. Sounds impressive, too. I'm not sorry I signed up for the 2l before experiencing it. Roll on January.
