Re: What have you done today/recently to your 5?
I've had my SE for 3 weeks now and have just finished the second half of the service. This weekend was gearbox, diff oil, fuel filter, K&N air filter and spark plugs.
This is the third time I've changed the gearbox oil and I still hate it haha. But, I used the funnel and pipe method this time and it was a lot easier. Fuel filter was a pain as the previous owner had ruined all the plugs.
I bought most of my servicing parts from Amazon and it's all good. Taking into account shipping, everything is around 50% cheaper.
Car is much smoother now. It had a rough idle before and after changing the air filter, the idle improved instantly. I have a feeling the air filter has never been changed.
Car seems to breathe now as well so it pulls much better.
This is the first time I've used the Redline stuff in the gearbox. Me likey!
Oh, also put on my old gun metal 16 inch Buddy Club P1s with adrenalins. Handles much better and the ride is smoother. Colour doesn't really match the car though. Old car was sunlight silver, this one is red.
Miss the look of the stock 17s... You can't have everything!

Keen to see a photo of the SE with your P1s on it.
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

Here you go Okibi:
Some bad mobile shots this morning.
Now that it's mechanically OK, I'll give it a wash/polish and take some better photos next weekend.
I was going to go meet And1 today but ran out of time. Want to see what a "real" SE should feel like haha.
Now for the F1. Go Webber!

Nothing wrong with the charcoal on red look, but if you want to get rid of them give me a call.

Hope you took lots of photos.
I got a 2nd wheel for my car today.
They arrived in Perth on Tuesday, one was delivered on Thursday, another today and 2 are still sitting at the depot.
