MX5s need a spare wheel about as much as motorcycles do.
UK since return: Standard NC2 (horrid), C200K, ND2 BBR, NC2 BBR200 (loved it), NC BBR300 (better than BARMY), V-Special, turbo NB8B (my 84th car)

First real roll bar on the market from Blackbird Fabworx in the US, and it even works with the softop!
(they will have a more substantial version, requiring a soft-top delete, for more serious racing later on)
The good news is this construction technique should be able to be retrofitted to the NC.

Wow, I hope that ugly lump on the boot lid isn't the reversing camera...

Think it's the GPS antenna, the Australian ones don't have that BMW shark Finn thing. The GT still has GPS but I'm not quite sure where the antenna is. Could be in the reverse mirror module on the window?

It's for Sirius Satellite radio, mercifully we're not inflicted with that here!

Phew, that's a relief because I've been considering adding the reversing camera option!

The one I've order which is a 2.0 GT Manual has apparently sports tuned suspension, 17" wheels with wider tread & the LSD (Manual Only). I felt that the 1.5L Auto was responsive when you used the manual shift or paddles. But normal it was a little boring and had to rev it's guts out to move.
Steering was excellent on both drives, very responsive!
You sure the 2.0 GT ND in Australia that get tune suspension?? Any link stating from Mazda for it?

No link, I could be wrong. But I've watched about 30-40 YouTube videos & they've stated it in some. But that could be only for the U.S. & UK models.
I know that they get 17" wheels, but I also thought it came with the strut bar in the engine bay. But that's an extra $1,000 roughly....I know the Club model overseas has bilsteen shocks & sports set up but the GT doesn't have that. But as were only getting Roadster & Roadster GT I'm wondering if the GT may have the sports suspension.

Re: How many people r going to buy the new model ND
All Australian models get the same suspension. All Australian manuals get the LSD. All autos don't get LSD. The 2.0 litre ones get the bigger wheels and tyres. According to Australian road tests/articles, the 2.0 litre ones get bigger brakes also, but the brochures show the same size brakes on all models. I believe that this is a misprint. Strut tower bar is $966 + GST. Waiting for my 2.0 manual GT to arrive. Have been told first Australian 2.0 litres are scheduled for November manufacture with delivery in December.

Re: How many people r going to buy the new model ND
Had a reply from Mazda re: reversing camera & they sent me this pic.
Mounts under the lip for the rego plate in the centre. (This is the orientation they sent me).
I'm going to give it a miss!

Re: How many people r going to buy the new model ND
At least the photo seems to confirm the written explanation I gave you. A couple has just ordered one for their 1.5GT. I'll send you a better pic when their car's in the showroom ready for delivery. Hopefully it will look as good as it does on any of the other Mazdas with an MZD screen. If it does, you'll want one.
They're upgrading from an MGB by the way. This is the first time I've had a customer doing a 50 year upgrade.

That'd be great Dave, cheers! TBH I was expecting it to be flush mounted not looking just 'glued on'.
MGB! Classic machine - what colour is it? (Bearing in mind the correct answer is British Racing Green)
