Says you, sitting at a computer or on a mobile phone, typing away.

That's not a car. I don't drive a phone.

They also generously offered a load car for the interim.

Cheers

Interesting to see that the mysterious "QC issue" is finally out in the open in Oz....hope it gets sorted quickly for you.

It's been identified as the DSC (Dynamic Stability Control) module that needs replacing plus a software update for same. I don't know just how long it is going to take, but I was told it may be a May/June delivery now.

Yep - and that is now the case for all MX5s landing in Oz...including cars built after Dec 24....

My dealer has also given me a loaner. Excellent service.

Latest I have heard is the DSC module/software update is a Furphy, that it is fact, a delay Mazda are putting on 35AE models so as to release them in a unified way world wide, a publicity stunt in other words. Other 2025 year MX5s have been delivered this year but no 35th AE models have. There is good evidence this is the case on Miata.net.

The hold applies to ALL MX5s from Dec 2024, not just 35th Anniv models....

From the big US Miata forum:

Mazda Confirms 2025 Miatas Stuck at US Ports Due to Parts Issue [Updated]
A problem with a vehicle control unit has held up Miata deliveries for weeks now, and buyers have been frustrated by a lack of information.
