Hey friends will be picking my wife's Ltd ED RF in a few days time. There'll be plenty of pictures. I got a couple of things wrong on my previous post, where I was speculating about the car. The forged BBS wheels are black and the strut bar is the same type as the American club sport. I'm not bothered about this. The side mirrors are black, as is the roof. I still think snowflake pearl white is the best choice, as the car is two tone black.
It'll be sad to see our lovely NC3 go, but it's unquestionably certain that the RF is the better car, and the Ltd Ed RF especially so. Test driving a regular RF was, we both thought, fun, trilling, rowdy and intoxicating. In other words, everything an MX5 should be. This forum will get the first real world scoop, on what is the best MX5 ever made, and therefore, currently available worldwide. Lastly, this car is for my wife, and in the end, all that matters is what she thinks. lol, she even loves the electric steering because it made handling the car a cinch. Oh well. I've learned to keep my big mouth shut and let her enjoy things as she sees them. There's no problem with me interjecting with my views, but I now do it with balance, subtlety and sensitivity. Just to let you all know, I sacrificed my plans to get the Nismo 370z in order for my wife to own the Ltd Ed RF. I may still get the Nismo at the end of the year, but I feel financially uneasy about doing so.

Good luck with the new car - always an exciting time, particularly when the car is considered as something more than simply a means of conveyance.

white is a great choice! I have already delivered 2 LE's, a white and a red and the white was the pick for me

:
WRONG - an MX5 SHOULD be a convertible - the RF is clearly NOT a convertible!
While the RF may be a fine car, it's an MX5 variation and does not meet the original MX5 specification - it's a convertible.

Stan, that's a lot better than arguing about the merits of a blinged up overpriced special edition of a certain vehicle ...
I never met a horsepower I didn't like (thanks bwob)

Congrats - im sure you will be very happy with the le.
Serious question- if the 181hp bump for the 2019 2.0l happens, I imagine every 2.0 owner will be jealous. People who purchased the rf le have every right to be even more pissed off that potentially 6-7 months after getting it, the base model 2.0l will have 26 more hp.
Progress is inevitable but it happens this close...... I have a 2017 rf and would love another 26hp from factory. Time will tell if it happens I guess

Probably off topic but what heck. I reckon the 1.5l ND is closest reincarnation of the NA and would be my pick if buying an ND (which I probably will at some time).
