is there somehwere in brisbane that wreaks a lot of MX5s? or does anyone know a place to find 2ndhand parts?
not having much luck on gumtree or ebay.

Wreckers...Nobody actually wrecks many MX-5s because of the low numbers. You will find some of the wreckers including/ parts salvage in other States will post/ freight items at buyers expense.

eBay is a good source for local wreckers, they'll often advertise a single part and mention that other parts are available with their contact number.
This is how I found my spare NB harness (which I'm cannibalising for wiring to preserve wire colour coding where possible - eg, the fuel level to my Arduino).
