5th gear grind NC 6spd

Hi all,

Just started getting a 5th gear grind, when shifting into it @ 3k rpm+.

What would be the most likely cause? worn clutch? cylinders or the transmission itself?

I have a hole in the shift boot, could it be the turret?

I think the issue started a few days ago, when I let someone else drive my car without any manual experience in the last 15 years..(Gfs dad, hard to say no).

He did kept taking off in 3rd gear...
