Hi All!
Just registered but have been lurking for a little while
Finally pulled the trigger on a 92 NA6 - so expect a million stupid newbie questions (will try to remember to use the search function before posting)
I Live in Regional Victoria, just over an hour West of Bendigo, and drive to there for work each day (First year apprentice mechanic) and wanted something a little more fun and a little less thirsty than my AU XR8 Ute - enter the MX5
I have always loved them (I remember when they were first released) and finally have my own to play with! look forward to catching up with other MX5 fans at some stage and the mad mad journey I know this ride is going to be

Re: Newb - First MX
your a first year apprentice which would make your age somewhere in the 16-19, and you remember when the mx5 was released 25 years ago ?

Regardless of the confusing chronology, welcome!
UK since return: Standard NC2 (horrid), C200K, ND2 BBR, NC2 BBR200 (loved it), NC BBR300 (better than BARMY), V-Special, turbo NB8B (my 84th car)

Hi Matt,
There are a few forumites from Central Vic and a very active chapter of the MX-5 Club based in Ballarat, I am in Maldon and Droo is from Bendigo.
Enjoy.
Greg.

When you turn your car on, does it return the favour?

Re: Newb - First MX
Thanks guys,
Mature Aged (45) first year apprentice - Spent too many years doing what I though I ought to rather than what I really wanted to do - and this year changed all that
Rebuilt many OLD cars and resto/modding them, have a huge passion for cars from the 50's and 60's, but have been selling off my collection to finance my new career, which included a change in direction for my toys as well -
I am starting a V E R Y S L O W build of a Kit Car so the MX5 will be my enjoyment and self indulgence while I do it!
Cool, will keep an eye out for things happening round the place - I am out in Charlton (but work in Bendigo) so if you spot a red NA6 buzzing round - wave!
M@
P.S. funny every time I have bought a particular model of any car (no matter how rare) - I have suddenly spotted more of them on the roads - not one MX5 yet though! :-(
