Hello all.
Just bought my NA8 very recently (14 hours ago) and wanted to introduce myself. I've been interested in MX-5s for a while now and I was planning on getting one later this year or early next year. Since my Camry was in a minor crash a few days ago and is too expensive to fix, I went ahead and bought this one.
I'm /relatively/ new to the car scene but now that I've got a car I'm enthusiastic about, I'm keen on jumping straight in: meeting people, going on cruises, tips for modding, etc. I've got a bit of experience with a few cruises from spending time with my boyfriend who's on OzVR4 who owns a 1999 Legnum VR4.
As for the car itself... It's silver and came with an exhaust, extractors and a questionable body kit.
Going to post up in the Garage forum soon as well.

Re: New NA8 Owner
Welcome! I agree that body kits looks a bit so so. Is the front bar widened to match the flairs?
Most body kits on mx5s seem to be fairly reversible so shouldn't be too bad and a na8 is still a nice car.

Yeah, the front bar is widened to match the flares. The body kit is fibreglass and the paint isn't great at the moment. It looks like the car was resprayed with the flares still on it. So if I want to get rid of the body kit, I need to change the nose cone and respray.

Thanks, I've already been having a great time driving her. It was a 250 km return trip to pick the car and drive it back!

It is Gary's NA8. Really friendly, the price was good and again, was a nice trip there and back!
