Was with Shannons for 7 years with the NA they were the best deal.
Got the NC last December rang Shannons and got quoted $1400 and some odd dollars for $35000 agreed value, they would not budge on the price.
Rang AAMI, again a long term customer for daily driver, house & contents, got quoted $840 for $38000 agreed value $500 excess.

Comparing a premium from 2004 to now is just stupid.

Also, sum insured is 1 part of determining a premium.

Insurance quotes.

Everyone's situation is different, comparing insurance quotes between people is pointless. It's been said 1000 times on this forum before...

It was more a joke!

and yes, totally agree on people comparing quotes too. Unless you are a twin, have the same car, same value, same usage, same driving history, same garaged location etc you wont have the same price!

another funny thing I used to get when I worked at Shannons was 'I thought you guys were cheap!!!' because his mate of a mate had his EH Holden on extreme limited use and was paying $230 a year and their quote was for over $1k for a modified HSV.
